Dairy goat kid rearing is the foundation of future milk production, yet little is known on this topic. References available to producers are limited, making it more difficult for dairy goat farms to reach their full production potential. This review paper aimed to identify the current recommendations on dairy goat kid rearing practices for intensive production systems and to assess whether the different recommendations were based on scientific literature. Recommendations on dairy goat kid rearing practices, from birth to weaning inclusively, were presented and compared between countries under similar intensive production systems, including Canada, the United States, and France. The different areas of rearing investigated included kidding management, colostrum management, liquid and solid feeding, health management, disbudding, housing, weaning, and growth monitoring. Gaps in the literature were identified in all areas except for disbudding. More research on the topic of goat kid raising practices would be beneficial to refine and validate current recommendations. 相似文献

Food additives, often used to guarantee the texture, shelf-life, taste, and appearance of processed foods, have gained widespread attention due to their increased link to the growing incidence of chronic diseases. As one of the most common additives, carrageenans have been used in human diets for hundreds of years. While classified as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for human consumption, numerous studies since the 1980s have suggested that carrageenans, particularly those with random coil conformations, may have adverse effects on gastrointestinal health, including aggravating intestinal inflammation. While these studies have provided some evidence of adverse effects, the topic is still controversial. Some have suggested that the negative consequence of the consumption of carrageenans may be structure dependent. Furthermore, pre-existing conditions may predispose individuals to varied outcomes of carrageenan intake. In this review, structure–function relationships of various carrageenans in the context of food safety are discussed. We reviewed the molecular mechanisms by which carrageenans exert their biological effects. We summarized the findings associated with carrageenan intake in animal models and clinical trials. Moreover, we examined the interactions between carrageenans and the gut microbiome in the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal disorders. This review argues for personalized guidance on carrageenan intake based on individuals’ health status. Future research efforts that aim to close the knowledge gap on the effect of low-dose and chronic carrageenan intake as well as interactions among food additives should be conducive to the improved safety profile of carrageenans in processed food products. 相似文献

屎肠球菌SC-Y112是一种具有广谱抗菌性质的产细菌素乳酸菌,为更深入了解其菌株性质,本研究通过模拟胃肠液耐受实验、胆盐耐受实验、抗氧化活性测定、溶血活性测定、明胶液化实验、有害代谢物质检测、耐药性评价及肠球菌毒力基因检测对屎肠球菌SC-Y112的体外益生性质与安全性质进行分析评价。结果表明:屎肠球菌SC-Y112对模拟胃肠液耐受性强,在模拟胃液培养3 h存活率达73.66%,在0.3 g/100 mL的胆盐质量浓度下培养3 h后存活率达56.38%,其发酵24 h上清液总抗氧化能力达35.21 U/mL;此外,屎肠球菌SC-Y112不产生物胺、吲哚以及偶氮还原酶等有害代谢物质,无溶血现象,不溶解明胶,不携带常见肠球菌毒力基因,且对万古霉素敏感。研究结果可为菌株的进一步开发与应用提供科学依据。 相似文献

Edible mushrooms production presents a potential problem for the environment, due to the large amount of waste generated. These wastes contain nitrogenous matter, which could be used as biostimulant in plants. The aim of this work was to study the effect of waste waters, from the mushroom production process, applied at veraison and 1 week later to grapevine leaves, on grape volatile compounds over two vintages. The results evidenced that mushroom water treatment decreased the grape content of certain terpenoids, C13 norisoprenoids, benzenoid compounds and esters, increasing C6 compounds content during the first season. Treated mushroom water application slightly affected grape volatile composition. This was the treatment that least affected the content of grape volatile composition. Few differences were found after the biostimulation during the second vintage. The season was the dominant factor of grape volatile content variation compared to the treatment and their interaction. 相似文献

I introduce the concepts of other-than-rational thinking in decision-making and multiplicity in management responses as examples of inspirational sources from social sciences that would contribute to truly understanding the driving forces of construction management processes. The study of types of flow in construction is a relatively new field. This paper reviews the work of Sacks et al. and reveals that they have applied a production-line metaphor with recognition of two production flows. Process flow: locations are equated with products moving down a production line. Operations flow: work crews are equated to work stations. Their work proposes an index of the quality of production flow in construction, but the research design has three significant flaws: the skilled interpretation of flow-line charts is not in turn applied to the interpretation of their example charts; the conceptual framework does recognize that the underlying metaphor requires levels of detail in both location and task that is not supported in their analysis. The meaning of “quality of flow” in this context is not defined. This debate raises important epistemological questions for those working in lean construction and location-based management. While the concept of “production flow quality” is important, the Sacks et al. methodology does not address the detailed planning of individual crews. It is only possible to apply the production-line metaphor if micro-management is adopted as detailed planning. 相似文献

Due to the increasing complexity and flexibility of business activities, project-based organizations have become common. In such organizations, project management competencies, which refer to a collection of knowledge, personal attitudes, skills, and relevant experience, are core assets that must be taken seriously. Formalized project management career paths have been widely implemented in the construction industry. However, most recent studies treat project management competencies as static constructs and fail to consider their dynamic changes as a career path advances. To fill this gap in the literature, this study conducted an empirical examination of project management competencies integrated with a career model for the construction industry. First, key project management competencies are identified through a literature review. Then, a project management career model for large Chinese construction companies is developed based on an empirical investigation of six large Chinese construction companies from various sectors. Moreover, a quantitative analysis is performed to explore how these competencies dynamically change as position levels rise in the career model. The research findings indicate that significant differences in project management competencies exist at different levels of the career model. However, the distribution remains steady at different project management position levels for conceptual and organizational competencies, human competencies, and technical competencies. 相似文献

In innovation and project management studies incremental development projects are perceived as theoreticlly and organisationally uninteresting. By means of a longitudinal study of product improvement projects at an automobile firm, this paper challenges such views and shows how the cumulative impact of the studied sequence resulted in a competitive repositioning of the company's product portfolio during a financially difficult period. Project managers achieved this by transcending the separation between exploration and exploitation projects; they not only adhered to time, cost and quality goals but also tried out new ways of testing and experimenting with controversial technical ideas. The paper analyzes the intensive inter project learning that generated these ambidextrous capabilities and emphasizes that practices at the project-level need to be buttressed by expanded management learning and capability development also at the sequence level. 相似文献
